Children's Dance Theater is proud to introduce a new hip hop crew to our studio. Dancers ages 7 and up are invited to sign up to be a part of this hip hop team directed by Vonte Marquiss. Vonte wanted to create H.Y.P.E. to give young hip hop dancers more opportunities to better themselves as dancers and people.
Hip hop crew dancers will:
- Enroll in an appropriate hip hop level class at any CDT location
- Rehearse on Wednesday from 4:30-5:30pm beginning in September
- Perform at local community events (parades, community center, showcases)
- Participate in the Unveiled show in February 2023
- Participate in Imagine Dance Competition in April. This event is Mandatory for all dancers on crew
- Have a featured routine at the 2023 recitals.
The estimated cost will be $60 per month in addition to dance tuition. This fee will cover the performance outfit, entry fees to the competition and the coach's time.
