What to Wear

Dancers must wear dance attire and have ballet buns for rehearsal. Dance warm ups, skirts and etc are allowed. Please bring appropriate shoes to rehearsals. If your dancer has multiple rehearsals don’t forget to bring water and snacks.

Rehearsal Schedule

Rehearsals are held Friday evenings and Saturdays September -November the Auburn location and November & Decembers take place at the Federal Way location. Dancers are expected to make these rehearsals a top priority. While we can work with a few absences, it is very important to have good attendance. Please AVOID missing any rehearsal but November rehearsals are extremely important for a smooth tech week. (this will mean dancers are not at the theatre late into the night) If you cannot avoid an absence please let us know as soon as possible. Make sure that any planned vacations are listed on your audition form.

Individual routine times will be announced no later than September 1st. All participants need to download and use Team App. This is a free app and works with both android and apple products. This is the primary mode of communication for Nutcracker participants. It has many wonderful features like push notifications, reminders and calendar addition tools. You are also encouraged to join our closed facebook group. This will have videos uploaded for at home practice purposes.

Tech Week & Performances

The Nutcracker production has many more theatrical elements then our June Performance there for we require dancers to attend 3 rehearsal at the theatre the week of the performances. The dates fluctuate depending on theatre availability however we traditionally hold Act 1 Tech rehearsals on the Tuesday before the performances. Followed by Act 2 that Wednesday. Thursday is the final Dress rehearsal. Tech rehearsals (Tuesday & Wednesday) require costumes and hair in buns, but make up and perfect hair is not required. The Dress rehearsal should run just like a performance so hair and make up is required. One parent is welcome to watch the dress rehearsal. If you wish to video tape and take your own photos please do it at dress rehearsal NOT the performances.

2019 Tech Week: December 17th-19th, 2019

2019 Performances: December 20th & 21st at 7pm & December 21st at 2pm
