Performances opportunites at CDT
Performing is an essential part of dance and theater. As such we are committed to providing a variety of performances, small and large to give young artists multiple opportunities on stage.
Spotlight Theater Company:
The Spotlight Theater Company provides 3 small productions each school year. The performances are held within our small in studio 'black box" and are complimentary to those enrolled with a guest limit per performer. Space is very limited.
The Nutcracker:
CDT is proud to be in our tenth year of performing our beloved version of the Nutcracker. We welcome all students from any local studio to join our production of the Nutcracker. Our requirements are a regular ballet class and to attend all rehearsals. Our auditions are held in August of each year at our Auburn location. For more information visit our auditions page.
Thrive Competition Team:
Here at Thrive Competition Team, we invite you to learn the artistry of dance, competition, performance, team work, adaptability, expression and joy through our welcoming environment of competition dance team. Our goal is to provide a place for everyone to experience this unique and rewarding side of dance where each dancer will thrive. Whether you are just starting out, or a seasoned verteran, you will feel welcomed and engaged on this supportive and challenging team.
Spring Ballet:
is a wonderful opportunity for students of CDT. These storybook productions offer the dancer a chance to perform beloved stories and ballets of dreams. Auditions are held each February.
Recital:
CDT has an annual recital for all classes at both locations, Federal Way and Auburn. Students learn choreography in class and perform for family and friends in a wonderful show of talent and fun. Recital is scheduled for June of each school year.
Summer Theater Camps:
Each Summer CDT offers two theater camps that produce full theatrical productions including sets, costumes, props in a proscenium theater.
