Snow White Auditions headder

Spring Ballet Auditions

Casting auditions for the premier production of Snow White, the ballet, will be held on February 1st, 2020 at Children's Dance Theater's Federal Way location. Dancers need to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. They should be dressed in ballet attire with hair in a bun. Auditions are a dancers job interview so please look your ballet best. Dancers will participate in an age and level appropriate ballet class, including barre work. This class may also include acrobatic tricks and a few phrases of choreography and demonstrate them in small groups per the director's discretion. Auditions are a fun and positive atmosphere. Teachers are simply looking for the best role to showcase your child's abilities. If you cannot attend auditions but still wish to participate please email us at info@childrensdancetheater.com and make the subject line "Spring Ballet Auditions". We may be able to make alternate arrangements. We will have casting posted on February 7th, 2020 on our website. Dancers must be at least 5 years old

Dancers in Kinderkid (ages 5-6) should attend the 1:00pm-1:45pm time slot
Dancers in Pre-ballet or level 1, 2 should attend the 1:45pm- 2:45pm time slot
Dancers in level 3, 4, or 5 should attend a 2:45pm-4:15pm time slot
Dancers with at least one year of pointe work should stay for the 4:15-5:00pm time slot

What to Wear

Dancers must wear dance attire and have ballet buns for rehearsal. Dance warm ups, skirts and etc are allowed. Please bring appropriate shoes to rehearsals. If your dancer has multiple rehearsals don’t forget to bring water and snacks.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals will take place Fridays from 4:30-8pm & Saturdays 1:00-5:00pm at our Federal Way Loction

Dancers are expected to make these rehearsals a top priority. While we can work with a few absences, it is very important to have good attendance. Please AVOID missing any rehearsal but April rehearsals are extremely important for a smooth tech week. (this will mean dancers are not at the theatre late into the night) If you cannot avoid an absence please let us know as soon as possible. Make sure that any planned vacations are listed on your audition form.
